Good evening my dears. My apologies that I have been on and off lately. Among feeling sick and exhausted, I've also been facing an art block and depression. The other day as I walked to work, a homeless man asked if I had a dollar, so I gave him one because he is worse off than I. He was angry I would not give him more. I helped a couple walk for fifteen minutes using my phone map because they were lost. They continued on without a word. A woman scoffed at me when I asked how her night was going that evening.

So why am I telling you this..? Well..because it comes down to a matter of perspective, of belief, of hope, and maybe a bit of courage. That as we offer these snippets of respect, these soft whispers of inquisitive nature, that they are given with the power of our own determination. That regardless if kindness is not returned, regardless if we are mistreated or find cold worlds walking into ourselves, that we maintain the warmth and light we carry. That we do not branch ourselves on others with expectations.

We need to have the strength and patience to question what we are after. What we are looking for when we offer a smile, when we offer genuine kindness and an open arm of patience. The worst thing we can do is simplify any one given person. Trivialize their lives and give in to the belief they are nothing more than a problem. Each and every one of us deserves the recognition that our lives lead to these moments and we are not always strong. Some of us are lost, and a smile no matter how devalued it may be, is still a smile in the dark.

So up for download and viewing pleasure is a mini three page creation of my own that reaches out towards those who might be feeling a little lost, and a little impatient with themselves and their work. You all take care now.
