To be a giant is to live long enough until you are the monument itself. The looming testament of mind becoming matter. And yet this achievement is not in itself always a good thing, a kind thing. 

The Giant Jadureen sits lonely atop the highest plains, and their shadow covers the valleys with a forlorn air. Their eyes are blind for they saw more than should have been expected. Their ears, deafened by the questioning pursuit of strength. 

Their tongue is stilled, and their body is like water turned to stone. Only prayers reach them now. And such things so elusive are revealed to their unending darkness as glittering diamonds from some place else that still knows light. 

Take heart. There is valor yet in prayer. There is still nobility in kneeling. Perhaps Jadureen may even hear you...
