There are those whose weights push upon them until they sink into the earth and fall beneath this world. These plains are thin, held together by many strands and strings, and so the more one's soul should writhe, the easier they shall slip through. 

They fall like drops of water upon the surface of the unfathomable lake, and seldom are they aware they pass upon the fingers belonging to the lady of the black waters. She is empathetic, and the moon weighs upon both her body as well her mind. 

Though the surface of the waters are always still, they none the less, like their goddess, continue to rise. Those who struggle and bite upon the surface are destined to sink further beneath to untold plains while those who still their motions may yet rise again. 

Diventia once mused no force could ever hold any one soul in place, not even the under currents of the silent and wounded cosmos, and so whatever direction one moved in was entirely their choice. Wherever they would end up however, home always waited.
