Inks complete on page 1, was able to start flat coloring last night.  I think I'll be able to start shading, but I don't think I'll be able to finish before the end of the month.  Which is mildly disappointing, but the page is also close enough to finished that I don't care if I miss the end of month deadline by a couple days.  It's real, tangible progress on getting this comic complete.

One of the other requests this month was, "What do Seff and Ash do when they're tied?"  Well, I thought I'd dig up this comic and put a little bit of work into it, since it's one of a few things that show the answer to that question (Ash is very affectionate, he will cuddle any time he and Seff are tied).  I scaled it up by 2x, since at it's original resolution (basically just thumbnail size) I had a lot of difficult getting some of the panels done because they were so low res.  I cleaned up a little bit of page 1 and 6, but put most of my effort into page 4 since that was the least defined page.  I felt like I needed the warm-up on drawing, lining, and working on faces particularly, since I wasn't very happy with how Makwa's face looked in page 1 panel 1 (I then redrew it before inking it).

So, what do we have for next month?  Whatever it takes to finish this page, for sure.  Finish page 2, definitely.  Sketch requests, probably?  I would like to take a crack at page 3 and reach for 2 finished comic pages per month, but balancing it with the other things you guys would like to see drawn is also on my mind.  We may keep sketch requests very informal like what happened this month.
