So Jhaeros marked Sivan as his 'bride' and Black's mark made Sivan his 'bride' or canceled Jhaeros's claim? My guess is the pain is caused when he holds weapons as a way that was meant to stop him fighting against Jhaeros or bring him straight to Jhaeros. An old theory was that the pain was a form of PTSD but because it gets sucked away in the way it does that theory is probably null and void. We also know that Black was cursed, probably by The Uncharted King (I'm so tired of typing his name) it's possible he marked Sivan as BLACK's 'bride' which would make him the first shipper. My bet is on the first theory.
