Progress Update #80 (Patreon)

Wow, I’ve been watching and animating hololive for a year already. I can’t believe holoEN 2 is debuting soon. I haven’t even made a holoMyth video yet :p

But that’s about to change. Because the next one is a Gura and Ina animation! Well… kinda. Ina is actually playing another character.

Gura attempted to prank call Ina during her stream last month, but things did not go exactly as planned, and Kingdom Hearts and Mickey Mouse got thrown into the mix. It's a very amusing moment! I recommend checking out the clip if you haven't seen it yet.

So, yeah. This is what I'm animating, but I’m taking it in a slightly different direction. It’s still gonna be funny but I’m also making it a bit more spooky and suspenseful.

It’s also going to be a bit longer than usual. There are quite a few scenes and backgrounds, but not a lot of different characters. Except for this one scene at the beginning where Gura is listing all the different movies, and my plan is to have Bloop shapeshift into the main characters from those movies. I think that’s like over 10 different transformations, and I want to add a little bit of animation to each one, so it’s gonna be a lot of work. Right now, my estimate is that this project will be complete by the end of September.

Oh yeah, I also painted this little comic for Towa’s birthday. I ended not finishing that sketch that I posted in the last update, so I’m using this as the new YouTube banner for now. I think it looks good on all devices except TVs. And you know what? That’s fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
