Hey everybody, I'm back! I was suffering a little bit from travel fatigue last week, but I'm all rested and refreshed now, and 100% back to work! I've been doing a lot of different tasks such as editing, lip-syncing, organizing and fixing some of my After Effects bugs, like the character shadows that keep moving with the camera:

I've just noticed this issue. Apparently, this was happening all over the place in the previous episode (yikes!)...

But other than that, I'm also researching and recording footage from Night Trap, and I just finished rigging the UI in after effects:

In the original Best Friends video they are playing the new 25th anniversary version on the PC, so you're probably wondering why I chose the 32X version. And there's a couple of reasons, but it's mostly because of the size of the screen, it's pretty big compared to the Sega CD version. And because it's an old version of the game, the video needs to have that old school compression look, which is actually beneficial to me, because I'll be adding extra characters and backgrounds to the game footage, and the compression helps everything blend together in the composition, almost like it was part of the original game. And that's a good opportunityto use a really cool AE plugin called RetroDither:

So that's about it, the scene for the 1st part is all set up and the lip-sync is done, so it's ready for animation! I'll get started on that, and I'll return with another update as soon as I have some new stuff to share with you guys!

Just hearing about all the work you put into your animations to come just makes me anxious about the masterpiece that will be created.
