Hey Happy New Year! It's a little bit late, but here are the December rewards.

These are from the Spider-Matt intro that I made last year. Even though the project was mostly inspired by the cartoon, I chose a comic book style for the backgrounds. So I did a lot of sketching in photoshop, learned a little bit about modular asset design, and I even mixed in some 3D renders for the sewer background.

Comes with the Doc Ock Lab (2 backgrounds), 4 character vectors and the City Night background, this is the modular asset that I was talking about, I created all the different parts of the buildings in photoshop, and put it all together in after effects. They function as small seamless textures, so you can use the motion tile effect to change the shape and layout of the building to your liking!

All the backgrounds (10 in total), all the character vectors and the 3 animated sequences you see here. Once again, everything is available in .png and .psd, except for the animations, those are in the .aep file (CC 2015+).

Character Rig:https://www.patreon.com/posts/12675738

This one wasn't planned, but I had the static Doc vector done, andall the tentacles rigged up, so I decided to just go ahead and make a basic Doc Ock rig! I actually experimented a little bit with DuIK's rotation morph and I got some great results! It's kinda like a limited version of blendshapes, I used it on the arms and legs to create a more "organic" movement and deformation. I'm glad that I tried this now because I'm totally gonna use it in some of the Shadow characters. I also experimented with DuiK's bezier IK for the tentacles, and I got some pretty horrible results... every once in a whileyou get reminded of after effects limitations, I guess you just can't solve everything with expressions. But still, a simple puppet pin setup works just fine for the control, I just wish the bending was better.
