Yes , those are made to Disable the Default XPL sounds . All new sounds are compressed inside : \\fmod\Engine.Bank

Same problem for me. Click sound for switches are working. I hear the igniter when starting, but no motor sound. Neither inside nor outside. Correction: Seems to be the Free Buch Kit mod for the default Laminar C172. Could you try to set your sounds for this mod too? It's available for free here and really adds to the experience: https://propstrikestudio.com/products/172-mod-workhorse

Sorry for the confusion. This time it didn't work with the C172 + REP too. There seems to be some problem here.

I tried it on both the default C172 and the C172 REP. No engine sounds...

it was made using the "Cessna Skyhawk" Model , but it still missing the (G1000) and the (Floats) configuration , will upload them later

i download this it clearly says for the C172 but after installing the files and then go to log into the game the game tells me i have a 737 sound pack using with my c172 don't know whos been silly here but not happy i deleted all of them if this seems funny for someone to this i will stop my support to this team or person

I for some reason am not getting exterior engine noise. Everything sounds great in the cockpit, but its dead quiet on the outside. Using the REP pack on a non G1000 variant.

Are you using a "Camera" Addon ? Maybe that is the cause ? Try This : 1/- Open the "Cessna_172SP.snd" with a ".txt" editor 2/- Delete this Parameter Below ( Line n°26 to 30 ) : BEGIN_SOUND_ATTACHMENT SNAPSHOT_NAME /No ExtDLM EVENT_START_COND sim/operation/sound/inside_ratio[0] > 0.5 EVENT_END_COND sim/operation/sound/inside_ratio[0] < 0.3 END_SOUND_ATTACHMENT 3/- Paste this one : BEGIN_SOUND_ATTACHMENT SNAPSHOT_NAME /No Ext EVENT_ALWAYS END_SOUND_ATTACHMENT

Would love to see one for carenado C182 X plane 11! Pretty good aircraft overall but engine sounds really lacking

Not sure if it does. I've flown in both in real life and they are very different sounding airplanes. As you know very well Carenado really didn't put much effort into their v11 sounds. Pretty lazy on their part.

Can we get a configuration for the people with the G5 enhanced 172? there is a file in fmod for us called Cessna_172SP_G5.snd and I assume that matters as far as the ftsim stuff is concerned.

Try this ; - Make a copy of the fmod file "Cessna_172SP.snd" - Rename it to "Cessna_172SP_G5.snd" 👉if there is a bug on the sounds please mention the full name of this mod or a download link if available
