New SM fanart and exploring new crafts (Patreon)

Sorry for not posting last week, writing this post ended up taking more time than I thought. But the stained glass piece won the poll, so I finally thumbnailed it!
I'm drawing this with the aim of turning it into art prints. I want the backgrounds to be glittery so that's why the backgrounds are a little plain, but also I'm trying not to design unique backgrounds for each girl. I don't think the amount of effort is worth the little time ppl would pay attention to it.
It's actually based on one of the first Sailor Moon fanarts I posted online, 11 years ago. Gosh my art back then was...okay I guess......
Glitter prints would be amazing, but what would be really amazing is if I could make this more 3-dimensional...
I've actually been really interested in papercrafting and paper cutout art for a while now. It's a craft I've wanted to explore for years, but I didn't want to invest too much money into a craft that I might give up right away. So I chalked it up to a whim and stayed away from it.
But these days the whim is getting stronger. While I enjoy drawing digitally very much, I've found myself wanting to go back to traditional art. Not like the drawings I would make before, but something that feels more handmade, worthy of hanging on a wall. I could paint, but the urge to papercraft keeps beckoning me
(This is by @LtlPaperForest on Twitter! She was one of the reasons I got so inspired by paper art. Give her some love)
I think the stained glass print would look amazing with layers of cut-out paper. But it would be a very time-consuming and expensive project, especially if I were to sell this. (Also, I have to consider the number of ppl who would buy this and whether it's worth the effort and costs.)
So, I'm gonna stick to keeping the stained glass as a drawing for now, BUT I'm gonna try papercutting a smaller, more low stakes project. If I only buy enough materials for a one-off project, not only will it be cheaper but I won't feel like I have to invest in this craft full-time if it ends up not being my thing. I haven't spent money on art supplies in years now that I'm digital, so hopefully that justifies the purchase 🤣
