This is going to be a much more candid post compared to my previous art posts, but I just wanted to talk about a bunch of stuff!

First things first, here's all three Princess Serenity dresses together! Of course I want to add more to this collection, but I think this is a solid place to take a break for now.

This style was really fun to draw in; I still don't think this is going to be a permanent art style change but it would be nice to dabble in lineless art further.

I'm a little disappointed that the 1993 musical dress wasn't as well received as the other two on social media, since it was my personal favorite. The only reason I can think of is that perhaps it was too different from the traditional Princess Serenity gown.  Or more likely I just got unlucky with the algorithm and I refuse to let the algorithm bring me down 😤 One of the nice things about taking hiatuses to draw is that I can spend time quietly enjoying my work before I publish it online - if I was hustling to finish something to post every week, it would feel much more devastating if a post didn't do well because it would make the hustle feel worthless. I think I'll share it again sometime with a better picture of the original dress for comparison.

These dresses have been touched up since I last posted them, and I updated the original posts to reflect these minor fixes: Look 1, Look 2, Look 3. I also updated Sea and Sky since I wanted to share it this week before Pride Month ends!

After Sea and Sky I was going to share the Prototype Senshi designs on social media next, but I'm less confident about that performing well and they aren't my favorite designs anyway so I think I will keep it Patreon exclusive for now ;) But I do think I want to share the Princess Serenity Selkie-inspired dress I sketched in this post, so I will work on that next.

I did get many requests to draw dresses inspired by all the princess forms of the Sailor Senshi, which is a series I've been wanting to do but it's been tough to come up with good designs. But I will try my hardest!

I also got back into developing my game Sugarplum Cafe after taking a two month break. I've mostly been bug fixing so I don't have any new screencaps to share since my last update. But my composer dark_cat and I have been going back and forth on the music for the past month or so, and I think we have some solid music now! I'll wait to share the music when it's fully complete, maybe in a gameplay video whenever I can put that together. Either way, I'm really excited to return to this project and I hope by next month I can gather enough updates to get you excited too!
