A series of dresses inspired by Princess Serenity (Sailor Moon's princess form) - the most famous is the dress on the right but I also wanted to pay homage to a couple of really interesting variations from the musicals!

When I make designs inspired by gowns and long dresses, I feel an immense pressure to go big in order to capture the elegance of the original dress. My problem with this is that I don't want to send the message that more is always better. So I'm a little conflicted in my head right now...wrestling with a lot of emotions...

I like the middle and right designs. The design on the left would work better without a billowing train IMO but it wouldn't feel as much like a princess gown, plus it would look pretty insignificant compared to the other two.

I got some feedback that the design on the right should be more sleek to resemble the original silhouette, so I will probably design a fourth version that is more sleek because I really like the regal-ness of this one. I can see how it's not really fitting Princess Serenity, but it would be fitting for Neo Queen Serenity (Sailor Moon when she becomes queen in the future).

I love them all, but the middle is my favorite!
