She's done! I'm still figuring out face and eye styles if you can't tell...I still like the nose line down the middle and will probably use it in other looks, but everyone knows anime girls don't have noses.

I think it'd be nice if I share more about my design process behind these looks!

Redesign (left)
My redesign only makes minor changes to the original design, mainly removing unnecessary details and making the outfit more fashion-forward. Mami's outfit is pretty chic overall, so there weren't a lot of changes I wanted to make.
* I did get rid of the giant boob window because she's a middle school student??? and reshaped the corset to still emphasize the chest area but in a less creepy way.
* I simplified the corset to be less industrial-like and match the stripes on her tights. The overall shape of the corset has been changed to be more flattering and fashionable.
* I feel like the plain yellow cowboy boots captures the exact same vibe as the original cowboy boots without all the unnecessary details.
* I think her original arm sleeves are actually okay, but the double sleeve action feels more posh and fashionable.
* The extra stripe on her skirt was just for fun, I don't think the og design needs it but I really liked how it looked.

Fashion Design (right)
My fashion design is a look that is more loosely inspired by the og than the redesign. I love Mami's original beret, it's probably the chic-est part of her outfit, but I just wanted to see how she looked with a BIG HAT
* Ribbons are a big motif for Mami's attacks and transformations, so I used them as a main motif in this design.
* The underbust corset here emphasizes the shape of her boobs more than the redesign, hopefully that will satisfy the otakus
* I just really like thigh high socks with flats
* I thought about giving her a more fashionable hairstyle, but I think her hair is pretty iconic and it's fashionable enough on its own.

Mami was probably my favorite design from the thumbnails I posted a while ago, so I'm happy I got her done first! I want to do all the Madoka Magica girls, but I should try not to get ahead of myself...

P.S. Do people actually want the looks and backgrounds separately? I'll add them if someone asks for them, but I'm not actually sure how useful they are unless you're in a drag rush or something...
