WIP: Mega Pearl (Patreon)

Some thumbnails and a sketch in progress. The design is definitely not set in stone (hah). I wanted to have some similarities to my Pearl design for the continuity, but I feel like it might deviate too much from the original Mega Pearl? 

The left color scheme is closer to her original design, and the right is closer to her actual gem. Why is the original design so bright and saturated?? And why is Pink Pearl so bright and saturated??? An actual pink pearl is barely soft baby pink and somehow the show is compelled to use HOT PINK FOR EVERY OTHER GEM......at least six I counted
