WIP - Erza Sketches (Patreon)

I'm taking things in a slightly different direction this time. Instead of one pose with many alternates, I am going to have these three poses with a few alts each.

If you don’t know, the pose of Erza bending over is the same pose I gave my OC Lily years ago, and it’s by far one of my favorite poses and drawings ever. So I wanted to try it again and improve it as best I could. The second and third poses are of course originals, and I do have to say I am taking a real liking to the third lying pose.

Do you have a favorite? And I may finish these and post them in parts instead of all at once.

I really like poses 1 and 3! What I’m getting from these is that you’ve made Erza look kind and sexy together. Like in most artwork of Erza she’s still got an air of strictness or authority about her. What I get from these is that you’ve made Erza look more relaxed and comfortable in herself and I think that’s a good thing. Even when she’s shown relaxing I’ve always felt she still retains her hard personality and she’s relaxing her body but not her mind. But in these she looks much more gentle and is fully able to let go of her cares to just be kind in pose 1 and fully embrace her sexiness in 2 and 3 without the need to restrain herself. I feel like you’re drawing a more confident Erza who has learnt to just have fun and embrace life for what it is, rather than for a job or an end goal, and I think that’s a great take on her with Fairy Tail’s lore and story being where it is now. Apologies if that didn’t make any sense!

You got it! A calmer more gentle Erza, that's also more mature and is able to relax. I like it when characters are not always 'in character', so those moments when Erza is shy or blushing around Jellal, is the feel I am going with here. Maybe we are seeing all of this through his eyes? It's all quite fun to see the open side of a tough character like Erza.

I havent watch fairy tail tbh but u did an awesome job, specially the third pose I like it a lot

Thanks dude! It's great to hear that people like a drawing of mine even when they don't know the character. Fairy Tail is a fun manga/anime, if you ever have some free time I would give it a shot. There are some spicy chapters Mashima made.
