We considered picking the prey folks from amongst our patronage, but unfortunately the logistics of choosing 12 specific individuals and making sure that we get their permission and that there won't be any issues with rights to the comic later on would be a real logistical nightmare and slow us down too much.

So, in order to not break our brains trying to come up with twelve individuals, we decided on picking six randomly-chosen species and doubling them up for a total of twelve.  Imaginative?  Perhaps not, but sometimes you have to sacrifice creativity for timing when it comes to comics like these.  :)
