Cosplay of American McGee's Alice was my obsession and dream since the game was released. Maybe you can remember Alice's big promo figures at the stores? My mom's friends told her several times "look she is just like your daughter". Oh yeah, I always had that heavy grumpy sight XD.

Some years ago finally I had an opportunity to do this cosplay. It was my first cosplay ever and I wanted everything to be perfect (well "a perfect" didn't come off).

I learn all possible at that time Alice cosplays and find weak spots to know what exactly I want. I bought pretty underskirt in Loli shop at Harajuku and stripes stickings. The shoes were a problem to find, this pair is not decorated as should be but I think they are pretty nice. Sad thing they are too big for me (it was the last and only pair in store) and a heels are too high for me so my legs are always dead after wearing them in one hour.

I can't sew and craft so I ordered dress and staff from popular cosplayer who lived in another town. I think she did an awesome job (obviously we didn't have any fitting) except some minor things. The necklace I ordered from my friend jewel crafter. It's not canon but unique at least =).

About things that I did fix by myself because they needed so. I'm not satisfied with the small skull at the baw. I've tried to improve it by painting because it not sculptured at all and its painting was kinda lame. The baw loose ribbons were too short. I made new long enough ones thanks I found some white fabric at home. The upron was crystal white so I added some blood by aquarelle. Griffon-staff had the biggest upgrade, the haft was just bald blue plastic while in-game weapon was pretty detailed. Also, I was upset buy griffon head itself too. It's just flat, not sculptured at all and painting here is just a texture. I did faux leather belt around the beak and fully decorate the haft by threads, ribbons and fabric.

I didn't want a wig and gladly my own hair was close to the character. I bought green lenses but didn't dare to wear them for all day. Unfortunately, I didn't know about makeup then (it was 2011) so my face looks... ugh. A more skilled friend drew me that black cat-eyes XD. They were good but now I can't look at this disaster without tears.

I'm planning to reanimate my Alice and do true studio photoshoot. I have a black wig, better lenses, make up skills, I ordered the Vorpal Blade and I HOPE I WOULD BE ABLE TO WRIGGLE into the dress (I gain a lot of overweight =_=). But this is for the next post =).
