Update🚨 (Patreon)

Episode 4 of Breakout is finally up and all other series will be continuing as planned. If you’re having technical difficulties with the app, please try to watch the episode in a different browser or on a laptop or tablet. I’m not sure why the app is not working for some people but I’m currently traveling and haven’t really had time to contact dropbox about a fix. I will be out of town with spotty wifi the entire week but I will have wifi tomorrow. So if you have important questions, please send them tomorrow because I won’t be able to see them Tue-Saturday.

Also, I want to thank everyone that was patient during this time. These past few months were rough for me and unfortunately, Patreon was the furthest thing from a safe space.

I know there are people here that genuinely care about me as a black female creator and want to support me off of the strength of that alone. But I also know that my patreon is transactional for a lot of people. Which is fine. I’m not expecting anyone to care about me. That’s not why I create. It’s a plus to come across people who genuinely care about my desire to create diverse black stories AND me as a person. But I also get that some people literally just want to be entertained. With that being said, any form of harassment, rudeness or grandstanding will warrant a block now. That includes unceremoniously announcing your departure from my patreon in the comment section. I had a couple of people leave comments like that the last couple of months and ironically it was their first time leaving a comment at all lol. They could’ve quietly unsubscribed just like they had been quietly consuming my content but they chose to be grandstanding in an attempt to make me feel bad for taking a minute to post. Having a patreon doesn’t take away my autonomy or my right to set boundaries with you guys.

There were plenty of people that left me supportive and positive comments. And there were plenty of people who checked on me. Thank you guys so much for being so understanding and genuinely kind! Even the people who don’t comment at all and the people who left and came back. You guys might be antsy about an episode but you never leave those types of comments on my posts because you have sense and for that, I appreciate you immensely lol.

Please feel free to continue commenting about episodes and discussing amongst each other. This is still very much a safe space to voice your opinions and converse with each other about the content. Harassment and any type of grandstanding comments will just be met with a block now. Thank you and enjoy the episode! 💗
