The weather forecast was really good, and in Melbourne you just don't know how long the beach weather will last, so Monika and I hastily arranged a shoot at a secluded beach down on the Mornington Peninsula.

It was a glorious day when I set off, but in the time it took to drive from my place to the beach it had clouded over and there were storms on Port Phillip Bay.

In the end we decided to proceed with the shoot, although the light was not really what I would have wanted. We were lucky, and only got a few drops of rain. But all the cloud meant the sunset was darker than usual, so we had to finish early.

Part 2 will drop next week.

Technical: Nikon D850 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens. Natural light.
