Portrait Group (Patreon)

I am one of the organisers of Portrait Group at Melbourne Camera Club. The group gets together once a month, partly to learn about studio lighting, working with models and portrait photography, and partly just to socialise.

2020 has been a bad year for us. Just after our March shoot the studio we use closed, and while we have tried to stay in touch with Zoom meetings, they aren't really the same.

The studio is still closed, but because we are coming in to Summer I arranged an outdoor shoot so we could all get together. Since I was organising, I wasn't able to do much shooting - but as it started getting dark I set up some portable flash lighting for people to use, and used that as an excuse to snap off some shots of Jesi.

Jesi was one of my lost opportunities of 2020, I met her a couple of times and we had agreed in principle to do a shoot, but we did not get the chance before lockdown. She is still interested to shoot some time in 2021.

Tech: Shot with the Nikon D850 and NIKKOR 70-200 f/2.8G VR II lens. Lighting is two Godox AD200pro flashes either side in 60cm softboxes.
