Final Version

These were all the steps followed to create the lastest reward for TibCove!

  • 1- Base Rough sketch: This character has a new type of body that made me spend a little time double checking proportions to make sure it came alright, to the right theres a little doodle I made to internalize the overal structure of her body, then later I made the real sketch  for the base body.
  • 2- Extra sketches: After the body was good an approved, I proceeded to make 2 extra layers with more sketches adding both the clothing and the moustache.
  • 3- Final Sketch: Then I erased the lines meant to be hidden and overall cleaned the sketch until I got the final thing!
  • 4- Lineart: Then as always I add the clean lines tracing the sketch, adding details and also adding the tail (which I forgot in the sketch)
  • 5- Flat Colors: Then I proceeded to color all the sections following the references I got.
  • 6- Gradient & lineart color: Then to add more quality to the piece I added two extra layers with different types of color gradients that compliment the existing colors and add some depth to them, while also coloring the lineart to be even more seamless.
  • 7- Shading: Then I add the 3 usual layers with hightlights, and two for shadows, + an extra one for the special shadow that the face has. on top of the eyes. Each layer is colored with a specific color meant to fit the color spectrum I set in step 5, so the shadows on the shield/sword are different from the body, for example.
  • 8- Final touches: To finish it all, I add some glow effects, some environment shadows and also an extra folder with some layers for the sweating effect on her (because she was just training now)
  • 9- Extra stuff: Then I add a little thingy I thought would be funny in this situation, I downloaded a pokemon font, then typed it in a layer that I later rasterized, and deformed on purpose to fit the top of the sportwear ;).
