Final version 

These are all the steps taken to create the lastes commission for JosephOpossum

• 1- Early sketch: I start with a moderately good sketch that gets most of the character done correctly, with a pose that works with the personality of the character.
• 2- Sketch snout fix: After receiving feedback from the 1st sketch, I come up with some different alternatives for the snout (which was too small) for the client to pick from, they went for version C.
• 3- Final sketch: With all problems solved, I add in a separate layer the sketch for the clothes.
• 4- Lineart & Base flat colors: Then, based off the sketch I do the clean lines along with the proper details (and fix one or two hiccups with the arms) as well as the base colors.
• 5- Full flats: I finish out the color department by adding all the complementary colors on a different layer
• 6- Extra details:In two extra layers, I add the oil stains and overal dirt and also some sweat! while also coloring the lineart.
• 7- Background base: Now for the bg, I start with a base color of light blue.
• 8- Bg gradients: Then add some gradients with some different colors on each end. 
• 9- Extra bg effects: I add a couple extra details, and finally an extra halo to make the character pop out
• 10-Final product: Finally, I put everything together and we're good to go!
