These were all the steps taken to create the latest commission Featuring Daisy!

  • Rough Sketch: I started sketching a pose I thought would look good for the idea we were going for, however there was a little misunderstanding and the pose was not exactly what the client had in mind
  • Sketch: Eventually I spent some more time redrawing the whole sketch again in the desired pose after receiving feedback.
  • Early Lineart: This time the pose was given the okay and I had greenlight to start with the clean lineart! I made sure to get all proportions correctly in this stage along with some details on the fur.
  • Refined Lineart: After some time I eventually added several more details in the lines including things like nails and that lil hair strand, however most of the work here went to the bath towel since it was looking more like a dress and less like a towel, I focused on fixing that.
  • Basic flat colors: I added all the basic colors following the refs but decided to do the eyes in a separate layer just in case.
  • Full flat colors:In this stage I added the rest of the colors on the eyes and also a little stripe on the towel to add even more to it.
  • Colored lineart: To finish the piece I colored the lineart to fit a little more the color palette of this gal! I swear having lineart that is not pitch black does a lot for the pic!
