My journey continued with me looking for more information about the world between worlds, eventually this path taking me to a ruin that according to my findings was what I've been looking for. Inside the ruin, I looked around and saw the broken statues of the Gods this civilization once worshipped before their apparent fall. Beyond that there was nothing much, but sometimes one had to look deeper.

With a bit of effort on my part mostly because I didn't have many skills for this task, I looked around finding a piece of terrain that didn't match the decor around, with a smile, I levitated the move being careful not to fuck the already unstable place, once that was cleared up, I found myself face to face with a staircase that led to god knows where.

"Here goes nothing," I sighed, walking towards the stairs I had found. The stairs were long, and very unstable, but eventually they led me to a library, sealed with magic, easy enough, I broke the seal with a tier two six spell, and entered the library.

The Library was a dark maze of ancient stone corridors, with worn, uneven stone walls and low-hanging chandeliers of candles that gave off a castlevania feeling to the place. Around there were  worn and crumbling statues of what I could only assume were kings or historical figures.

"Well, one of these books ought to have more information about Yggdrasil," I whistled, at the sight of the massive library, as I did this, I wondered, why was this place so empty without people or full with books, knowledge was power, and for how easy this place was to enter, one would think anyone would... it wasn't as hidden as one would think, so why?

Ignoring that thought, I started my mission, and for hours to no end, I began to read every book in the library, and by read I mean skim through every single one of them until I found something useful. My goal was to find the world between worlds, not become a scholar.

But as I walked deeper and deeper into the library with candles illuminating my path. I felt something, a feeling of dread, as if there was something watching me. At first I tried to sense it with magic, I mean, demons in an old abandoned library are cliche at this point for this type of setting, but even with my magic sense, I couldn't sense anyone or anything.

"Ok... this is getting awkward..." I sighed, whoever or whatever was watching me, was making my research rather uncomfortable. "Whoever is out there, please stop simping on me from the shadows, and come out... I am getting tired of feeling like a girl in a bathroom with many holes and eyes on them."

"Those who enter... can't ever leave... those who enter belong to me," I fucking knew it, demonic entity.

"Sure, we'll deal with that later, after I find the information I need, for the moment being, please stalk a rat or something," I sighed, really not in the mood of fighting a demon in a structurally unstable library.

"You... belong... to... ME!!!!" And the fucker couldn't wa------- before I could even finish that thought, I felt something connecting to my back, followed by a sharp sensation of pain.

This alone put me into a world of fucking bewilderment, I didn't feel pain agaisnt the dragon lords, I mean, I did... but this was twice as much, granted it was not much, but still.

Turning around, I found a Ghost floating in front of me, his level, higher than any creature I had encountered so far, level 98. "Well buddy, let's dance..." I chuckled, no wonder that had hurt a bit, he was one of my elemental weaknesses, for I was weak against darkness, and spectral creatures. Even then, even if I let this monster attack me, he would never kill me, my stats made me quite a tank in these types of cases.

"Mine... mine... MINE!!!" The Ghost roared, and I will go out and say, he was a problem sharing.

"Want a snickers pal?" I chuckled, readying for gentle combat, Ghost or not. I wanted the library still standing after our encounter, even if it meant suffocating the ghost with a pillow to maintain the structure relatively stable.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Killing the Ghost was a very, very, very, very, very, very, annoying task, first it was almost level one hundred, which alone meant nothing, I mean no character is ever strong as soon as they reach that level, but still almost level one hundred is quite an accomplishment for this world, anywho, not only he was high level, but I had to tank all of his attacks, because if a single one hit the walls of this place, well… bye bye knowledge.

So not only I had to suffer through his attacks, but I also had to use my weakest attacks, like Holy Water, and Holy Bubble, and stuff, in short, I drowned the motherfucker in blessings with holy water and holy bubbles, which fortunately for me, was super effective against him, granted it didn’t do much damage because the spells were… the first ones you get as an angel, but it kept the place stable, and his HP going down.

“Twelve hours using the equivalent of a pokemon tackle to defeat a high level opponent,” I sighed, rubbing my temples in exasperation.

“YOU… ARE….” Another, great… I got the fucking ghost’s buster library it seems.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m yours, I know… fuck it! Come and get your holy McDonald’s cup of water you intangible bitch,” I roared, walking into battle, so as to not damage the library… something told me… this was going to be a long night.

And it was… for this second Ghost, while lower level than the first one, was the first of many, many, many, others, no wonder this place is empty. “By the power of Christ! I compel you! REPENT! REPENT!”
