A level 95 undead dragon, sealed away in a mountain far away from most civilization, now that was something I didn’t expect, and it excited me. I knew for fact I could defeat him, especially considering my build, but this meant, creatures of untold power were out there hiding, waiting for me to kill them.

Needless to say, Ainz didn’t share my enthusiasm. But, he rarely ever did, like Touch-Me once said, he was the mother of the guild, always worrying, always caring, always planning, so I paid his warnings no heed, I knew he meant well, but I did too, it’s not like I was going to fight a losing battle to satiate the void within myself, I wanted to have fun, not to die.

Taking a deep breath, I opened the map once again, and using the surroundings as a point of reference I noticed I was close to the Dragon Kingdom, Sebas by side, tensed as if sensing we were closing a place he had some alien sense of belonging, for what I knew about this place, thanks to Zesshi, the Kingdom itself was nothing out of the ordinary in terms of power, that was if you didn’t count their founder, another dragon lord.

Brightness Dragon Lord, the former King of the Dragon Kingdom, a role that now his Great Grandaughter fills, who is also considered a dragon lord, just of a different type, power-wise, according to Zesshi, the difference between them is massive, with the founder of the Kingdom eclipsing her descendant by miles, at least according to the info she has, apparently she hasn’t faced any of them in battle yet, so all the Theocracy had was nothing but assumptions, and wild guesses.

“Do you think these dragon lords, will make the list?” I asked Sebas.

“I suppose, I guess it all depends on what requirements one needs to be a dragon lord, if they let anyone join such group, I doubt you will find a worthy challenge, Alastor-sama,” Sebas replied, he had a pretty good damn point if the title was some inherited shit, I was wasting my time with it.

As I pondered over that thought, the edges of the kingdom started to appear at the horizon, the walls that covered the kingdom were big, but looked quite fragile, as if they hadn’t reinforced them in a few hundred years. On the gates, two soldiers, of the dragon race, not sure what evolutive stage they were, but they were weak, Gazef could kill them with relative ease, and that man was weak as fuck.

“Well, time to see if this race-altering rings I bought work,” Cash Item, that allow you to… pretend to be another race, it was all cosmetical, nothing like a doppelganger that copies your abilities and a part of your power, this simply changed your looks, and other details, but your power and abilities were the same, just locked, not a forceful lock, just one that stays as long as you keep the costume on.

At the gate, the small, quite weak dragons inspected us, Zesshi waved at them, while Sebas stood in place, he had no need for a ring, he smelled like a dragon. “New to town?” the gatekeeper asked.

I looked at him, and smile, “That we are, my fellow dragon.”

“Alright, go ahead,” That was it? New to town? And go ahead? Wow, these cold-blooded idiots are asking to be invaded.

“Never in my life, I have been so ashamed to be remotely related to them,” Sebas muttered, as we crossed the gate.

“I… kinda related, to think most of the angels of this world serve a country of humans, its shamefully painful,” I chuckled.

“Alastor-sama!” Fenrir interrupted, “I am sorry if I am out of place, but please do not compare yourself with such lower beings, you are a God, a being beyond their mortal comprehension, to compare them to you, is to compare a candle to the sun!” huh, he never speaks, and when he does, he goes full Demiurge/Albedo, huh, neat.

“I suppose, but regardless of my superiority, I am connected to them,” I sighed, “I suppose I can consider them the great value version of a generic version, of a copy of a copy of a Russian Chinese copy of me,” I grinned.

“I… I must apologize, Alastor-sama, but if I am allowed to ask, what is Russian, Chinese, Great Value, and what do you mean by generic version?” Fenrir tilted his head in confusion, reminding me of the dog I once had before I died, the first time.

“Hm, I think you are the first one to ask about my references, most simply say, ‘I don’t understand your references,’ sure I would be delighted to have someone understand my jokes,” I chuckled, as I started to explain Fenrir and the group, about a few things, in the hopes my jokes would not go unnoticed next time.

[Ainz Ooal Gown POV]

Alastor was a reckless individual, always relying on his overwhelming power to fix everything around him, in more ways than one, we were total opposites, he never worried, I always worried, and if it wasn’t because that crazy bastard was my best friend… ughhh can’t even imagine a scenario without his annoying angel ass worrying me.

“Demiurge, mark this zone on our maps as a dangerous zone, level ninety-five or not, we must approach with caution,” I ordered, relieved at the fact I knew Alastor could solo this monster, his build was made for it, after all, he was dubbed by Touch-Me as the Undead Annihilator, so I had no doubts this Dragon Lord was a challenge easy to overcome, what worried me was, for him to find a creature that counters him, with that level a creature of opposite powers could defeat him, so I had to plan, Alastor was the sword, and I was the shield, and the shield thinks, and solves situations like this.

“As you wish, Ainz-sama,” Demiurge bowed.
