A few months after the war ended, I got my rewards, a few weeks after the peace treaties and shit, and now I was level fifty-five with one star, my stats skyrocket with this, but now I was stuck, missions barely gave me any exp, and training only increased my stats, not my level, and it didn’t increase them by much, if I wanted to reach the same level that man had, I had to find a way to farm exp.

My options as they were… well, were basically non-existent, but even if I couldn’t reach that man in level, I could reach by other means, like… the eight gates, the power that technique would give me… should be enough to surpass that of Isshiki, but the question was… how long could I keep the eight gates open before my body succumbed to the strain… I mean, with soul stone, I could use this technique to the fullest at least once, without a care if I died or not, I guess… it was time to experiment.

Taking a deep breath, I open seven out of the eight gates, then I used Soul Stone, and then puncturing my chest with my thumb I opened the eighth gate, the gate of death, what I wanted to see with this test, was… how long would this deadly technique take to eat away my life, from that, I would devise a strategy to deal against Isshiki.

From the get-go, I felt a massive increase in my power, at the same time, I felt my entire body boiling from the inside out, taking a deep breath, I focused on how this particular gate felt, how it expanded and how it was damaging my body. “Ten minutes, at best,” I concluded, now it was time to see… how much my unique skills could slow this down. Creating a bunch of clones, I ordered them to start healing me, and as I expected the constant influx of heals, basically stopped the damage I was suffering thanks to the gate.

“So healing slows the side effects of this technique,” I hummed, as I made some calculations with the information I had, taking into consideration all the factors available to me, like my clones and how much chakra they had, I would survive at least thirty minutes with the gate of death open, that was if they never stopped healing me, and I doubted Isshiki would stand by to let my clones keep me alive, then again… I could use another strategy.

If I create a bunch of clones, and had four of five of them with the job of creating more clones, the influx of healing would never stop, and if they ran out of chakra, they could simply use evocation… “I suppose that could work, creating so many clones, he can’t destroy them all,” wait… what about, the monk totem, the totem is immune to damage, and if I have hundreds of them… that’s it.

With a smile of anticipation, I ordered my clones to Summon the Jade Serpent Statue, one by one, one… slowed the damage I was suffering, two… did the same, three… the same, what was I looking for? To stop the damage completely… and so I continued to create clones, that would summon their jade serpent statue, until… I was healing faster than the eighth gate was damaging me, and it only took twenty-five statues.

Now that I knew how many clones and statues I needed to exploit this technique, the question was… how to stop him from… killing my clones, and in the process fuck my strategy, “A barrier,” I muttered, if I trapped him, I could have my clones channel the power of the statue while I killed him.

But even if I trapped him… the bastard had space-time jutsus to escape the barrier, at least I thought so… otherwise, he appearance and disappearance that day made no sense, “How the fuck can I deal with… silence,” I could silence him, stop his casting of that technique, and so could my clones… it had worked with other ninjas, why not him? “Well… it seems I am getting somewhere with this,” I chuckled, wondering if any of my plans would work.

[Isshiki Otsutsuki]

I could see Raiden train, and more… and while he wasn’t saying why, I knew why… he wanted to kill me, clever kid, he must have sensed how far his power was to mine, and now he’s training like a mad man, trying to surpass me, disappointing really, if he had only been more compliant… I would’ve let him live, his powers would’ve been of use to me once I recovered my body, but… he wasn’t compliant at all, and animals like him… must be purged.

He was fortunate however, my current body was very unstable. But in a few months, I would have enough power to deal with this… set back, if I can have him, I can’t let that… abomination Kaguya created use him, if she comes back… with how I am… I would die, and I simply couldn’t allow that, so Raiden had to die, it was sad really, a dog like him, was worthy of serving under me, but… regrettably his powers, can and if I let it, will be used against me, and I can’t allow such future to become a reality.

“Don’t worry my beautiful beast,” I smiled, caressing the Juubi inside my personal dimension, “Soon… you will feast with a meal that is unique in every way.”

[Raiden POV]

Eight hours, and I still have the eight gates open, if this was a game, this would be considered a exploit, one of massive proportions, “I can’t wait to try this in combat,” I grinned, wth this power… I felt like a god, and who can blame me, I just threw a rock into what I suspect was outer space, don’t know… I never heard the rock hit the ground… so… who knows.

😏Later on you should give him a "random" giant exp boost when that rock he threw "accidentally" kills an Otsutsuki.
