The war ended, and like before the quest had yet to be completed, but I knew from experience it would take a couple months before it did, in the meantime I continued to train, and to try and see where my relationship with Tsunade would go, considering I had no idea where it was going. With no war to fight, and no enemies to face, I returned to Konoha with my students.

On the way to Konoha, I started to ponder over what to do next. While bad, war was an exp farm for me, a way to reach levels without much problems. Without it, I would level up very slowly, missions only have so much exp, meaning my situation was a bit complicated.

There had to be another way to farm exp, without going to war, the question was… how? Sometimes I wished the system had dungeons, it would make my life a whole lot easier, if I could just go into dungeons to farm exp like a mad man.

“Sensei,” Duy said, getting my attention.

“Yes, Duy?” I asked.

“When we get back home, will you continue to train us?” Duy asked, this question surprised me, why would he think I was going to stop training them?

“Of course,” I nodded, at this he smiled and continued to follow me as we skipped through the trees.

Taking a deep breath, I focused once again on my situation, Isshiki, what he meant and how to take care of him. First I had to level up, but what if that wasn’t enough, I needed allies, and if I recall correctly… Isshiki said there was a traitor around here, perhaps I could ally myself with the traitor, then again… if the traitor was a bigger threat than him… I would be fucking it up very bad.

I guess in the end, my only option is to… become stronger, stronger than anyone else… that would be nice, to be so strong the need of fear and uncertainty disappear, to be so strong no one would dare to face you, to be so strong you can defend everyone you care about, that… that would be nice.

“That would be nice,” I muttered with a smile on my face, imagining such a scenario in my head.

[Tsunade Senju POV]

My plan to make Raiden fall for me was working, as Grandma Mito had said, men want three things, food, sex and time to play be big children, now that the door for sex has opened, it was just a matter of time before he fell down hill for me, we were already best friends, the rest would fall in place alone with enough physical interaction.

But what if he didn’t fall for me? That was always an option, would I be okay with him loving another if that happened, stop Tsunade, that’s not gonna happen, Raiden while popular barely pays any attention to his horde of followers in the village, I had nothing to worry about.

“Tsunade,” Orochimaru said, bringing me out of my long reviere.

“Yes?” I asked.

“We have to go, you can fantasize about Raiden back at the village,” Orochimaru replied with a bored tone.

“I will punch you,” I threatened.

“If that makes you move towards the village so be it, I am tired of this place as it is, so hurry,” Orochimaru smirked, god I hated him sometimes.

“Fineeee,” I groaned.

“Also… wouldn’t it be best for you to be at Konoha with Raiden already? After all… a handsome veteran of two wars, coming alone to a manless village… I can only imagine how many women will… personally greet him,” … Fuck…

“You are right!” I had to run.

“I always am,” Orochimaru grinned.

[Orochimaru POV]

It had taken some time, but I already had a rough idea of what was scaring Konoha’s ace, whoever it was, it was stronger, and had instilled fear into his heart, now the question was who? I had a few theories, and they all led to Uchiha Madara, it would be plausible for that man to still be alive, then again… it could be someone entirely new, someone I had no info about.

Further research was needed, in any case… I would never have had an accurate answer to this enigma without confronting Raiden, which was a problem of its own. While all my hypotheses lead to the threat being Uchiha Madara, this could be wrong… so I changed my study to analyze his behavior. Why was Raiden quiet about it? Why didn’t he ask for help?

The answer to this was simple, he couldn’t. Meaning the unknown individual had threatened him to be quiet, to say nothing, this would only work if the individual alone was stronger than the village in of entirety, meaning Raiden was sure that even with our help, we would all perish, so he had no other choice but to remain quiet, this would explain why he was training to the verge of death every single day, he wanted to surpass he who had cornered him.

At every turn this mystery became more and more interesting, but regardless of how many ideas or theories I had, I would never get to the real answer without confronting him, which I would do… at the village, of course I was not an idiot, if Raiden was scared of this unknown, so should I… as I would fare no better than him against this mysterious threat, so I had to confront him in a way that this unknown didn’t see, so I had to take into consideration several scenarios.

One, Raiden was under constant surveillance, making sure he didn’t say anything, meaning talking to him would lead to my and his demise.

Two, the unknown had power beyond our comprehension, and with them was able to know when Raiden said his name, or spoke about him… this theory was… a bit out of the park, but nothing was impossible when dealing with the unknown.

Three, and the most plausible one, Raiden was under surveillance, but not as tight as both I and he thought, meaning there were ways to avoid detection.

“Soon… I shall know who scares you… Raiden, kukukuku,”

I really don’t care for him to be with tsunade. Hopefully something crazy happens to change things up. Nothing wrong with a good death 🤷🏾‍♂️
