Since the day I found out our Alice was alive, our goals had changed quite a bit, no longer we killed vampires for the sake of vengeance, now it was for other reasons. The point was that we no longer actively looked for them, if they so decided to face us, we would deal with them accordingly, but not many vampires hunted us, not anymore, and the ones that did, were no longer a problem. I had to admit, I kinda felt invincible with Venom on my side.

Though even in our fragile invincibility we feared one day they would find out our weaknesses, so far no vampire we had found had, but we were no fools to think no one would.

“So for today, Texas,” I muttered, marking the state on the map I had in hand with an x, as our next place to go, perhaps the Cullens were having a Texan decade, and we would be lucky to find them.

“Seattle it is,” I muttered, marking the state on the map I had in hand with a red x, as our next place to go, perhaps the Cullens were living there, and we would be lucky to find them, I mean if I recall correctly the movies took place close there, so it was worth a shot.

With a sigh, I put the map back on my backpack and decided to steal some money from the local bank before leaving tomorrow morning, I might be immortal, but I still eat, a lot... too much, I might have a problem and that problem consumes cash like a newborn child.

The closest bank to me was the McConnelsville bank, the oldest bank of the state I was currently in. Ohio was a very boring place to be in the fifties, not much to do, well, in all honesty, all places were boring in the fifties, but I wasn't here for the fun, no, I was here to get some rest and continue with my search of Alice, eventually, by the law of probability, I should find her, I hoped.

With a smile, I went to the tree I had designated as my bed for the night, the comfiest tree in all of southern Ohio, while thinking how much I actually missed a soft bed, with even softer pillows under my head, the trees while convenient and free, one would usually wake up to squirrels trying to hide their food within my shirt, and while adorable it was annoying at times.

As I approached my tree under the beautiful full moon, a very particular smell caught our attention, sending Venom into a full alert mode within me. Something was nearing us, and it wasn't a vampire, by the smell and the speed it was moving it was clear whatever it was, was vastly stronger than a vampire, but what?

On instinct, I transformed into Venom, ready to face whatever it was that had decided to make an enemy out of us, talons ready we hissed in anticipation.

All of our senses strained ahead as we prowled forward, detecting another noise. It came from behind but sounded muted and distant, we soon realized the creature was circling us. Immediately we swivelled our talons ready as we focused on the sound, hissing we kept our eyes fixed on the shadows moving around the forest.

When all of the sudden, the creature hit us like an explosion and we were thrown sideways into a tree, breaking it in haft like a twig. Twisting and yowling with newfound pain, as we tried to throw off the attacker that had fastened itself to our back. Whatever it was, it was gripping us with incredibly sharp claws, unfortunately for him, we had more than one way to eliminate unwanted parasites. With a loud hiss, we pushed the tendrils of our back into the creature, this worked, however in retaliation, the creature leapt at us and tried to bite us, at during the brief second the creature jumped, we saw what it was, a fucking werewolf.

“Delightful,” We growled, the day we wanted no fights, this happened.

The werewolf looked at us, and roared, before blasting into us like a mindless beast, however, we predicted this and jumped above his path morphing our arms into blades that cleaved the creature in half, as strong as it was, its approach was linear, lacking imagination or unpredictability, making this creature painfully easy to deal with, if you had a brain, and even easier if you had two.

“That was something,” We hissed, getting ready to burn the body, only to see the two halves of the werewolf we had killed getting back together, “This will be a long night, isn’t it,” we hissed with exasperation, wondering if I had to decapitate them as we would normally do with vampires, maybe silver? No, that only worked in movies.

[Four Hours Later]

It took us quite a while to figure out what exactly killed this beast, apparently, you had to decapitate it and take out the heart, this would give you a minute to burn the body, if you didn’t burn it before that, the wolf would reassemble and continue on with his madness.

“Easier to kill vampires, they don’t leave blood behind,” We muttered, jumping to our tree, “Really hope that thing didn’t have a pack, it would be problematic to deal with several of them at the same time,”

[Carlisle Cullen POV]

According to Alice who had joined our family a few weeks ago, making our little coven even brighter than it already was, Jack would be somewhere in Ohio getting ready to rob a bank, close to a forest that was… full of dead bodies, a bit ominous if you ask me, but if he also consumed humans then I would be more than happy to help him find a better way to live amongst humans, anyways, with that piece of information we embarked to Ohio to meet with Jack once again, this little mission was very important for Rosalie and Emmett who both wanted to thank him for what he did a long time ago, and for our newest member of our family, Alice, who had no memories of her human life, and her brother was the one connection she had to that life.

“We need to be there before noon, or he will rob the bank!” Alice reminded us, jumping on the couch with a wide smile.

“Her thoughts are driving me insane,” Edward chuckled, “She is somehow happy to meet see him again, even though she doesn’t remember him,”
