My training continued with Ra beating me on a daily basis, until one day he said I was ready to leave. This should be a happy event.
But.
I didn’t learn anything.
I was better at my fire bending but, besides that I didn’t have any knowledge that would make me a master of any kind.
Besides, having learned how to make fire at will, I had learned nothing… Well, I did learn how emotions changed the power behind the fire.
Hate and anger were apparently easy escapes to fuel the fire.
Positive emotions apparently had a much bigger impact than any amount of hate. But alas, it was hard for me to fuel my fire with flowers and rainbows with Vaatu inside and his unyielding hate towards his sister.
•You are ready...• Ra announced, •Fire bending is not about the forms you make to create said fire… is about emotion, I can’t teach you not to hate, I can’t teach you how to control and erase the emotions Vaatu is feeding you… that’s something you will have to learn by yourself...• he added sensing I was about to disagree with the ‘I’m ready’ thing.
“Well, I did learn the fire dance of the dragons… that is something,” I sighed.
•Fire bending is not about how you push the fire within out… is about how you fuel that fire...• Ra stated once again.
“I suppose you would know, being the first fire bender and stuff,” I chuckled.
•Before you leave… a piece of advice,• Ra said turning somehow even more serious than his usually extremely serious self, •Don’t let Vaatu change what you are… his emotions can be overwhelming, and one day if you are not strong enough… they will consume you… so be strong,•
“Thanks,” I bowed.
•Now leave… I hate a one thousand year nap to catch...• Ra yawned.
I smiled at the ten ton dragon before walking out of his cave.
I wonder how Vaatu will react once he knows my training with Ra was over. After all, he has been sleeping for a week now.
As I walked out of the mountain, I couldn’t help but wonder in some reminiscing of fear, was Vaatu going to change who I was… or would I prove to be stronger emotionally speaking than an immortal spirit.
*Caw!*
I turned back at that caw like a cat, Crowley was back, but how… I had left him at the premium pet daycare at the village nearby Forgetful Valley.
Crowley flew directly towards me and started to caw angrily at me, “Buddy I told you I had to train…” maybe I should've left him on the Northern Water Tribe.
*Caw!*
After a few seconds of angry caws and aggressive wing flutters, he flew to my shoulder, and dozed off to sleep.
“This Raven is crazy,” I chuckled, while wondering how the fuck he recognized me with this new face.

It took me roughly three weeks to get out of the Mountain where Ra now laid dormant.
From there, I took off to the nearest village and paid a cart rider to take me to the closest port, if the other elemental spirits were like Ra, then it was safe to assume they were in their respective territories.
La and Tui in the Water Tribe territory.
Ra in the Fire Nation territory.
Shu in the Air Nomads territory.
And Seb somewhere in the Earth Kingdom.
With that in mind, I decided I would go and learn from Seb next, not only the Earth Kingdom was the closest one, but it was also the most convenient for now.
And along the way, I would practice my Fire bending, if what Ra said is true, then I had to focus on changing the fuel of my fire. And only after that, find a form. Though having multiple forms can be a problem…
Maybe that’s what Ra meant, about forms being inconsequential with my fire. Perhaps I had to create a form that worked with all the elements I now had to master. A form to call my own like I did with Water Bending.
Unlike most water benders I didn’t use Tai-chi as my base, I formed my own style imitating the waves of the water.
But that was not going to work now that I had four elements to master.
I had to create a style that worked for all of them.
A style… free like the Air… firm like the Earth… passionate like the Fire, and flexible like the Water.
I chuckled, “It seems I have quite the homework cut out for me,” it was quite the task, but I was excited with it. Wondering how the end result would look like… it was a delightful thought to have.

[Aang POV]
I had found my master, the earth bender Bumi had said I would find… someone who waited before striking.
But she didn’t want to train me.
“I can’t believe she defeated the Boulder…” Sokka said in disbelief.
“It was an impressive feat…” Katara admitted.
“She’s the one I saw on the swamp… I can’t feel it… but she doesn’t want to be my master….” I sighed.
“We just have to try harder,” Katara smiled, “I’m sure she is just angry you won,”
Perhaps that was true… I probably hurt her pride with that… before me she had been undefeated for more than a year. At least according to her presentation.
“I can’t believe she defeated the boulder…” Sokka repeater once again.
I chuckled at Sokka, “You are right Katara… if she’s in my destiny, things will turn out fine… so let’s try harder!”
“That’s the spirit!” Katara smiled, giving me a high five.
“I can’t believe she defeated the boulder!” Sokka sighed, “But I guess she’s okay too,”
“Her earth bending skills are awesome, it’s like she’s one with the earth,” I nodded.
Blind bandit, whether you know or not, you will become my master and friend.
