Saint Valentine With Reed (Patreon)

What perfect timing... Reed  and I shot in this studio just in time to process the images and get them live for Valentine's Day. By just in time, I mean these were shot on January 7th. Because of the holiday and also just how much Reed and I love this set we decided to skip the entire back log that I have to edit and go right to this one. I am rather glad that Reed made me skip ahead to this set, It keeps thins fresh jumping forward and backward in time, although I like to edit chronological.

Valentine's Day is a strange holiday in itself. Everyone rushes out to get presents and flowers to show one another how much they love each other. Florists deliver hundreds on thousands of roses and flowers to smiling individuals. As I am sure, Saint Valentine probably did not have this in mind when a day could or should be named after him. But nonetheless, here we are on Valentine's Day.

This set seemed perfect to release on this day and I am sure you can guess why. One, the massive wall of flowers behind Reed. Two, the lingerie is perfect for the occasion as I am sure that any man would love to have his lady show up in his bedroom in these pieces. Three, the lighting; it is absolutely bliss. The dark tones of the floor contrasting with the highlights of the floral wall.

Combined between my set and Reed's, we have over ninety photos that are shared on the Patreon platform. Split nearly evenly, we have exclusives to each of our Patreons as well as about fourteen photos that are being shared between both of our campaigns.

The day this set was shot is unforgettable. Between the location, the company of Reed and our good friend Derick, the range of cameras and lenses we had at our disposal and the diversity of the studio we shot in; it was a recipe meant for success. Derick shot a lot of behind the scenes photos and videos with many of my higher tier patrons have already seen. Reed had the most amazing outfits and poses this day. I guess I was on my A game this day as well. Everything just seemed to have worked out. I love it when that happens.

I had rented a lens that I have yet to own; a Nikon 85mm 1.4. We decided to dabble with it in FD Studios, see how it works and what the outcome of the photos are. I can easily tell which ones are shot with the 85mm and the ones that are shot with my 24mm 1.4, can you? Nonetheless; I enjoyed using the 85mm 1.4 and look forward to purchasing this lens in the future. It is a great medium telephoto lens.

Anyways, back to the set and the purpose of; I hope all of you have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Whether single, in a relationship, married or divorced. Valentine's Day does not have to be about a significant other. It can be about how you love and treat yourself, how you pamper and take care of yourself.
