I rarely ever buy new things for myself, but I guess this is the month to do so. D810, 24mm 1.4 ED, SB-700 Speedlight, 128GB SD card and of course some more instax wide film (80 exposures to be exact). In my browsing i came across the Impossible website. I had previously visited the website several months ago, but sadly the only thing they had listed was film and no cameras. Well to my surprise and somewhat displeasure they had this Polaroid Sun660 listed for sale with three packs of color film as displayed above.

I of course began to become very excited about the prospects of owning this camera, so I immediately sent a screenshot of it to Reed asking if I should get it. Her being the voice of reason she is, said I should probably slow down and think about it first. The only thing I thought about though was what we could do with the camera, in turn making me want to purchase it even more.

As you guys may know, Reed and I have an up coming trip to Yucca Valley, better known as Joshua Tree. We both have a strong inkling that this trip will create a series somewhere a long the lines of 'The Loft' series, however with a completely different look, feel and flow. So with that trip coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to purchase this before the three days in the middle of nowhere with no service or wifi when the only thing we have to focus on is each other and creating.

I had a brilliant idea for what could be done with the exposures from this camera during the Yucca Valley trip, but also moving forward in the future. The exclusivity of these polaroids will be more so than an instax wide exposure. With a price tag of $229.99 for the Polaroid Sun660 and three packs of film, it is definitely something to think about before purchasing. Each pack of film sells for about $24, so the film adds up to $72 which means the actual camera is $152.

So I am thinking about running a few limited prints to help with the purchase of this camera and film. What are your thoughts?! I greatly encourage you to help me with this decision!
