Reed | The Loft | Part IV (Patreon)

I cannot say this is the half way point. The real half way point was between Part III and Part IV.  Since there is no Part 3.5, I guess we will call this half way. Once again; exciting, but saddening. I never want this series to end. Seeing as the photos are all finished and this Airbnb is no longer available to book, it does have to end.

'Part IV' does not really start with an outfit, unless you want to call a necklace an outfit. We decide to shoot this part of the series fully nude. It is done very tasteful in my opinion though. The fully nude aspect is just simply implied.

These stairs were great to shoot on. We were not confined by a banister going up the side of the staircase. With nothing blocking the view from all the way across the loft, almost every conceivable angle was available for use. With all of these factors combined as well as amazing light still pouring through the massive windows this set came out great. While walls, dark wood and bright green plants paired with Reed's skin made for some perfect contrast.

If my memory serves me correctly, I remember the tone of this set was very laid back while shooting it. Some of her poses in this set were more casual, laid back and relaxed. I love how they translated into the photos. It mirrored the vibe perfectly. Normally it is: on your toes, stretch your body, arch your back, butt out, etc. I guess we proved that it does not have to always be that way. Even the look in her eyes is relaxed, almost zen like. There is one picture in this set where the look in her eyes is pure bliss to me, I have stared at that specific photo for hours.

A couple of these photos made it into Volume II. Can you try and guess which ones we picked? Reed also chose to print one of the photos from this set onto a giant piece of tin, 11x17 I believe. I love how it turned out and it is available in her etsy shop, I will provide the link to it below.

'Reed X AW Media Vol. II' Copy 2/2 is still available to be yours. The twenty-four page book containing twenty of our favorite photos from this series is held dear to us. Even though we will not have a copy for ourselves, it allows us to put a finger on what we accomplished from this weekend in Downtown Los Angeles. What it also does is provide us the means for our next trip, which if you are one of Reed's supports you already know a little about it. Maybe some day soon I will let you guys in on what is going to happen in September too.

I will most certainly have my new camera body purchased before that trip, a Nikon D810. However, if the book sells before September I think I may be able to pick up another lens to play with on the getaway too! Nothing is more exciting than new equipment! Well, besides the photos that are created with it I suppose.

I hope you enjoy the "half way point" of 'The Loft' Series. The next sets we move up those stairs Reed is so elegantly placed on to a whole different, completely unseen part of the space. That is where Parts V through VII take place. Stay tuned!
