With every part of 'The Loft' that we release I become excited to have more of this series live, but sad that this series is finite. Both Reed and I wish that we could shoot in that space over and over again. The space was so diverse and the lighting was phenomenal.

Similar to Part II, Part III is a smaller set. I honestly would not be able to tell you why some are shorter than the others. It could be one thing as simple as feeling great about the shots that we got or a combination of multiple factors. All that really matters to me though is that we love every single set.

The photo above is the photo we chose for the cover of "Reed X AW Media Vol. II". It fit so perfectly that Reed ended up on the front cover and the plant on the back. This way if you were viewing either side it would look like it's own photo, but when the book is completely open each cover combines to create the full photo. Some things are planned, but this is a situation where it was just meant to be.

The depth of this set is much different than the others. To me, this set has more intimate of a feel between the depth of field and the use of foreground framing with the plant in some photos. I feel this set almost looks more candid as well. I rather like it.

The floor served an amazing purpose in this set. It created a great contrast with the white walls, but at the same time flowing with the dark body suit. We both had a love hate relationship with the wood floors. In terms shooting they were great, but they were not clean at all. By the end of this set the part of Reed that touched the floor for anymore than a second were basically black. We found this somewhat absurd due to the extremely hefty "cleaning fee" that was tacked onto the total cost of the space. I would almost say that we left the space cleaner than it was when we first arrived!

After shooting Part III we decided to take a well deserved break and put some food in ourselves. It is quite hard to determine what to eat when you are in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The vast diversity of food choices makes it seemingly more difficult than anywhere else I have been. Out of all of the possibilities we landed on getting pho. I guess we picked the right pho restaurant because when we arrived there were about a hundred people in the building with every single table occupied. We somehow got a table pretty quick, I would say ten minutes at the most!

Based on how busy the restaurant was we were extremely excited to eat. I of course ordered the largest size possible of a beef pho, while Reed chose to go the smaller, but same route. The food was to die for the fresh jalapeños was the perfect addition to the already amazing pho. Half an hour and an empty bowl later we were headed back to The Fashion District to shoot parts IV through VII.

For every set of 'The Loft' there are a few photos from each in the book. I hope by the end of this series someone has purchased this amazing volume. As I have said before, the prints in this book will never be reproduced again. Nor will we disclose what photos are or are not in the book. I look forward to the day I get to ship this out and wish I did not have to.

Please make sure you go and pledge to Reed's Patreon as well. There are photos exclusive to each of our campaigns that combine into an even larger set. We create a lot together and any contribution to either of our campaigns helps us create and more.
