Don't Forget To Smile With Mara Ohara (Patreon)

The most recent time Mara came over for a shoot we just decided to have fun with it. She brought over a bunch of outfits, laid them out on one of my tables and we randomly sifted through things to sort out what we wanted to shoot. This was the last little look we shot that day. The light was hitting the windows just right creating a beautiful glow behind her, but not too much where it became heavily backlit; some of my least favorite lighting conditions.

My neighbor Nick let me borrow his lenses from time to time while my Sigma 50mm 1.4A was in the shop for repairs and this was one of those days. He gave me the array of lenses he has for his Nikon. A 50mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4 and the 85mm 1.4. I have to say, the 85mm 1.4 is definitely on my list of things to purchase for photography. Such an amazing portrait lens with some great bokeh and amazing capability. I would definitely lean to getting the Sigma 85mm 1.4, but hard pressed, I would settle for any 85mm.
