Apologies on the delayed release. Patreon's scheduled post tool must have messed up a little.

Most shoots are always a 'day for the books' so to speak, this one was no different. It was my first time shooting out in one of my favorite landscapes in a long while. Danielle lives about an hour north of Phoenix and I made sure to set an entire day aside for this lady. I made my way from Tempe in an elated mood to meet and shoot with Danielle.

Upon arriving at her home I was greeted with her beautiful smile and a little wagging tail from her Weiner dog named Ween. I could tell right away that she was one of those people that just radiated an amazing energy. I hung out with Ween as she finished packing her things to hit the road. It felt like being around an old friend that I have known for years.

I had no idea where we were going but I sent her some ideas and made it dealer's choice of the exact location. But first; coffee. We stopped off to the nearest coffee shop for a couple breakfast sandwiches, a coffee and some whipped cream in a cup for the pup. Danielle brought me not but twenty minutes from her home and I was in awe with the landscape. It was exactly what I wanted. We jumped out of the car, grabbed our things and set off down the trail. In hindsight, I should have packed my backpack and not my hardcore as my cameras were getting tossed around quite a but from the primitive trails. Oh well, thankfully Pelican has some great padding and safety in their cases.

A five minute walk, a quick change and cameras ready; we got to work. It was a quick look especially because we kept having to deal with passing hikers that all seemingly did not know where they were going. Danielle, very familiar with the trails continuously directed the passers as she was holding her jacket closed. A quick shoot is what I prefer however. Anything longer than 20 minutes for one look is too long for my liking. Several key shots and a look wrapped up. Enjoy!
