For the last couple years Chelsea and I have lived not but a few miles apart from one another, but we seldom get to see one another. Our opposing hectic work schedules, a pandemic and life in general has kept us from getting together and shooting once more since the first time we did almost four years ago. We finally made it happen and I am so glad I was able to shoot her for this series.

I typically like a contrasting outfit for this series, deeper colors or black, but this white set worked out beautifully. I also typically shoot this series in the late morning to early afternoon, but this was shot virtually right before the great light disappeared behind the horizons. Despite the differences, I am elated with the results.

It has been over a year since last seeing Chelsea so we had much to catch up on before, during and after shooting. Constant chatter, a little bit of catch up on life happenings and tons of laughter echoed through my studio for the couple of hours we shot. It was my first time capturing Chelsea on pack film and I just so happened to have some Polaroid 669 Type loaded in my 600SE. It is always fun for me to show a model how shooting pack film works along with the first peel of the negative from the positive.

I hope I get to see Chelsea again soon in the future so we can create more beautiful things, for now, enjoy!
