Shadow Play With Mia V. (Patreon)

As some of you may know from previous posts I have made with Mia, I have been following her for a while now and we just recently met. Now, by recent I mean February 2, 2020; just shy of a year ago. However I have been following her for several years so the scale most definitely would be able to fall into 'recently'. My friend Derek Woods came over to my studio to shoot with Mia while she was in town from Tokyo, Japan. As they shot, I sat at my desk working through some digital work. With every few minutes that passed, Mia kept complimenting my work as I was at my computer. Towards the end of their shoot, Mia mentioned that we should shoot with one another the next time she was in Los Angeles. Well, the next time Mia was here, she actually became an Angeleno herself.

With a fresh apartment in the outskirts of Downtown Los Angeles, I asked her if we could shoot in it before she filled it up with all of her amazing things. I do believe that we got together within her first week of living there. South facing windows and the sun lower in the sky; we were able to have a lot of fun with the highlights and shadows casting into her space. Of course, Mia has only the best of outfits and the best of lingerie. By the time I arrived she already had everything to pick from laid out and I landed on this black set, crafted by Blue Bella. A quick thirty minute shoot and we captured so much beauty.

Before this, on the same day she was at my studio with Derek, I had shot one SX-70 exposure of her. This was my first time actually working with her. I have always been astonished by Mia's posing and her extremely heightened sense of her body, how to move and pose. Working with her was a dream and since she is only a stones throw away, virtually a neighbor comparatively to Tokyo, we will definitely be shooting again together very soon. Enjoy!
