Circa December of 2018. This was the first time that I had seen Reed in a month when she returned home from Ohio after spending some much needed time with her family. She left in early November right after my birthday and arrived back home in early December. I remember it was a strange feeling to have her away for so long, but we got right to doing what we did best.

On this day we were invited to an Airbnb that many of our friends in the photo community were shooting at. A massive gathering of creatives under one roof. Sadly, nothing you will really see in the near or even distant future. However, this was pre-COVID days when there was not a care in the world. Reed and I knew we were going to shoot in the space because we would never pass up an opportunity to shoot in a beautiful location for free.

It was an overcast day, but not like a normal Los Angeles overcast. This was a thick cloud covering present very dim light around the entire space. Reed and I decided to shoot right by the window in order to capture the most light possible. Reed was drinking through her morning coffee and we decided to pour it into a cup from the house and use her coffee as a prop in the set. It really worked out with the vibe of the set. I look at these images and it is such a soft and beautiful set that lightly calls out morning time. Enjoy!
