A day in Joshua Tree always ends with a beautiful sunset and we took full advantage of the perfectly warm light. I have caught so many stunning sunsets in the National Park and each one is more beautiful than the previous. Some come with beautiful wispy clouds, some with large fluffy clouds that look like an endless field of cotton candy and some, like the one on this day, just so happen to be clear skies and simply stunning warm light.

Jean and I parked in a small lot across the street from this location. With about a ten minute walk into the thick tall grass scattered between the trees, we were finally far enough away from the road to shoot. As far as we walked, we could not even see the cars slowly creeping by as their passengers marveled at the stunning landscape. I placed the sun behind Jean to create the radiant glow around her body I told Jean to leave her shoes on while we shot simply because on the walk out we had accumulated a decent amount of spines from the desert vegetation as well as falling into a couple snake holes. When you are out in the wilderness it is always better to play it safe than sorry. We shot for as long as we could and with the disappearing light, the ten minute walk back to the car and the howls of coyotes off in the distance we knew it was tie to wrap up and head back to the road. Even quick little shoots like this one serve such a large part in my memories with friends. Enjoy!
