This is something new I'm trying called Mental Health Monday. Where on the 1st Monday of every month, I go LIVE on Instagram and allow an open space for myself and others to open up. Life can be stressful and the madness in the world can wear down on our mental. This is why I'm trying to create this safe, judgement free, support zone for those who may not have someone they can talk to. Or even just those who may have someone to talk to but, want to help uplift and support others in need. Hopefully most of us know how important mental health is. It's just as important, if not more important, than physical health. As I continue to grow as an adult and as a woman, I realize more and more each day how important a simple conversation is. A simple "Are you ok?" can be the invitation someone needs to relieve some weight from their shoulders. Weight they may be carrying from the stresses of everyday life. Work, bills, family, relationships. I've learned the importance of having someone I can vent to. Not to be judged or criticized. But just to LISTEN. How much of a difference a little conversation can make. So with that said, please feel free to join me on instagram LIVE next Monday June. 7th to support. The world is filled with so many people interested in bringing others down. Let's not be like them. Let's support each other. Let's uplift each other. Let's rise together 🙌🏾

Omg😭 yessss! I love this! Great idea. Definitely important. And definitely will be joining. This needs to be normalized more. It’s a daily struggle for a lot of people . I myself have been struggling with mental health also . it has negatively affected my daily life. I’ve been trying to find ways to help me get back on track.

That's why I want to do this. I'm no therapist or anything but I have found ways to cope with my anxiety and depression which I could share with others and vice versa. Like an exchange of information and knowledge. It's very important. I personally grew up in a household that would shy away from the topic or downplay the significance of mental health which caused me to ignore it. I had to find out the hard way in adulthood AFTER being hit with anxiety and depression like a tone of bricks that this shit is no joke.
