The Promotion Update 5 (Patreon)

It's a substantial update for The Promotion this week. There's good news and bad news.

I'll start with the bad news. I don't think the movie will make it out for Christmas. I'm trying to estimate it out, and it's really tight. It will most likely take at least a few more days after Christmas to be fully finished. It's still pretty reasonable it could release before the New Year though.

As for the good news, the movie is almost doubled in length. That's kind of the main reason it's going to take a bit longer. Originally planned for 90 seconds, the movie currently sits at 171 seconds. It's not final, but the movie will probably be about +/-10 seconds of that.

All the voice acting from Ashley's voice actor added up to about 10 minutes of audio. Of course, plenty of that is for multiple takes. After going through it all for the best audio, it makes for a much longer movie.

I actually think the pacing is better for it. The Normandy's Bitch had many short scenes that could have been longer, so I wanted longer scenes for The Promotion. There are few scenes in The Promotion but with the same 90 second length, they weren't really much longer. Every scene except the intro is about 20 seconds or longer now.

Animation is ramping up. Scene 1 is basically finished. Scene 2 is underway. As with The Normandy's Bitch, it is pretty quick to finish up scenes because the base loops and lighting are already done.
