Behind the Scenes - Shady Speedways First Sketch! (Patreon)

On October 6th of 2018 I sketched out the first track. Shady Speedway!  

Meant to be simple in design like most first courses of any kart game we made sure to design it with simple turns and little decoration.  The Shady Speedway sign turned into the billboard and more billboards were placed.  The off road track with trees was placed at the second last turn. And a pit instead of a wall for the first turn.  

One of the features I miss the most though is the Blimp. We had plans for a Shady Speedway Blimp which was a tribute to one of my first games I ever made. Called Blimp Brothers. It was a side scrolling game where you shoot down planes using these cute blimps.  

There was also an achievement written for the blimp if you could hit it with a pair of panties from a ramp! But this ended up not making the cut.
