Several months ago, I asked what Raging Swan Press could do for you in 2022. One of the (fantastic) ideas I got back was a book of Urban Landmarks a GM could just drop into their town or city. I loved the idea, and this month's 20 Things instalment is the result.

Behold: 20 Things #70: Urban Landmarks!

I hope you like it and that you can find a spot in your favourite town or city for some of the locales.

And remember, this book is free to you as a thank you for your epic support here on Patreon. We absolutely could not do this without you. Thank you.

Gary Gygax

Today is the anniversary of Gary Gygax’s death. I’m remembering Gary tonight with a glass of my finest whisky and a read of my beloved 1st edition DMG. I talk more about Gary in today’s Gameatory post later today. But here’s the short version: Gary’s co-invention of D&D was a pivotal moment in my life, and I owe him a great debt of thanks.

This month, over on Raging Swan Press's blog, we are showcasing some of Gary's wisdom. Here's the first post:

By the time you get this, you should have a message from me containing the special secret download codes for this week's book and this week's Monstrous Lair remaster. (that benefits from our new updated layout and text file enhancement.) Drop them into your browser, and you should be good to go. If you have any problems, send me a message, and I'll sort it out for you.

Love this stuff RSP!!! Keep it up. I don't use them right away but my party is currently on the road to Dulwich and the 20 Things: On the Road is coming in handy.

Your work on the Urban Landmarks concept was genius... Thanks so much. And not only that, but each one could be its own plot hook or adventure idea on its own, so a total "two-fer"!

Thanks very much, Jeffrey. Glad you liked it; I was quite chuffed with how the book turned out!
