Here is the first build of the Bito game I'm toying with!
It's built upon another game I was working on, Torotun Panic!, so a lot of what's here is left over from that, Like the enemies, some of the tileset, and 3 test levels.
But changes include changing the player's moveset and graphics over to Bito. Most of his basic moves are in place, though I have some expanded actions in mind (such as a wall jump, or a special jump when you are rolling, or even switching to a B Button Run)
I am still toying with how Bito will handle enemies, I was thinking since he is more of a lover than a fighter most of his moves would stun instead damage them, and kicking round boxes would be how you clear them out.
And there is a whole other part I wanna work into it, a visual novel/ dating sim element. I was thinking the game would be structured more like a Metroidvania with some characters to talk to (and flirt with). I'll say more when I have more of a solid plan.
I hope you all enjoy whats here, and let me know if you have any ides!
New Additions! 10/2/2020
I revamped Bito's sprites a bit to give them a black outline, and made some animations smoother. I also made a small town level to test scale of human-sized buildings. It's populated with some cardboard cutouts of NPCs, like Donna and Spade!
New Additions! 10/5/2020
I got slopes working, and you can roll down them in the new test level. NPC conversations are also implemented in a basic form, There are 2 people you can talk to in the town level.
there are some other things I was working on but are not ready to be in a level yet.
I'll keep the smaller updates to Discord in the future, but these last updates has been adding some base level stuff that should give a better idea of what this game is gonna be.
