Friday Update #25: The Pen Moonlights as a Paintbrush (Patreon)

Nancy's new writer slaps, and like me, she's a female author.

To clarify, this is a joke. Despite suspicious evidence to the contrary, I am he/him, but I've been told by someone several times that she reads everything I write in More Calliope's buttery-smooth contralto (the adjectival additions are mine). Given that Zoey's vocal SFX were shifted in pitch to match Mori's deep tone, the coincidental comments seem funny enough to mention.

Hey folks. Spring is here, the 0.10.0 release finally happened, and much like the birds and the bees, I am ready to get down to business.

As you might know, this game has 2 primary artists, TiltSHIFT and Myumi. TiltSHIFT made the base Zoey sprites and most of the outfits; however, he's been busy with the transformation CGs, so Myumi, who shares a similar art style and is the artist for Britney's sprites, has been doing a bunch of the Zoey sprite outfits that TiltSHIFT was originally going to do.

So far, he's completed:

• The oversize men's XL hoodie.
• The sarshi chest wraps.
• The women's turtleneck sweater.
• The women's tracksuit.
• The women's one-piece competition swimsuit.
• The custom clutching towel pose.
• Wet layers for the swimsuit, nude body, face, and hair.

He's got one more outfit left (the mall causal outfit, but with a coat) before Espeon and I give him a new batch of these outfits (I need to turn these into shorter reference sheets).

Actually, that list above is missing his latest outfit, which is something you've already seen a glimpse of in the dumb meme I made above.

Not only is Zoey finally wearing a skirt, but it's part of her stunningly pretty schoolgirl outfit.

It's a hard pick over who wears it better, but my vote is with Zoey. Comment below with who you think looks better in the women's school uniform.

It took a lot of work on my end editing the original art from Myumi (TiltSHIFT made the outlines ages ago) to get these sprites looking as good as they do.

In fact, I'd estimate I've spent at least 200 hours editing the art in this game, which is shocking as I don't have any ability to draw. I am simply a wizard with editing art, but it takes a long time to do polish things to this level and it'd take the art much, much longer to look this good if kept doing back-and-forth revisions between the timezone delay and our issues with communicating complex feedback in English, which isn't their native language  (they're both Indonesian).

But hey, because of this, I have the ability to just give Zoey a brand-new expression and outfit edit whenever I see a cute anime girl making a good face. Expect to see these in the game next update.

Before I go and stew over the fact that Patreon's browser window crashed and lost half the Friday Update because the auto save doesn't work which made this a Saturday update, I have these from TiltSHIFT.

Hopefully, this doesn't violate Patreon's ToS...

0.10.1 is going to be a cleanup update for spelling, grammar, and expressions in the script to prepare for the new Keisuke writing with alternative options for the first day sex scene.
