Friday Update #16: Leaning Into It (Patreon)

I've been hearing Britney Spear's name a lot in the media lately and because of this game, part of my brain rewired my association with that name and I sometimes take a second to remember it's not re:Dreamer Britney. FYI, I may have brain worms.

It's been a while since a proper one of these, huh? I would have gotten some topic out on the 16th but I've been cleaning my bomb crater of a room to prepare for a friend staying over and was entertaining her until this afternoon.

As I mentioned in the last post that was a Friday Update in all but name, Myumi came back from the dead. Since his return, he's once again been working away on the Britney sprites. He's already finished the second pose sprites that debuted in 0.8.4 and is hopefully on track to finish her third and final pose by Friday.

Forgive the censorship but Patreon is on my butt for ToS violations with sharing NSFW content in public posts; the Christian memes are fitting given that Britney is a rather devout Catholic. So far, Myumi has only finished the nude outfit for the pose (which is the one thing I can't show here...) but he's saying that without further revisions, he's on track for finishing them on Friday; however, him finishing the pose and me getting them ready for in-game use are two separate matters, so I'm not confident I'll have them ready for 0.8.5 on the same day.

Myumi is also working on 4 new expressions for all of Britney's poses.

These are the 4 reference images I sent him to use (anyone recognize them from Britney's old placeholder sprites that got Thanos snapped back in December 2020 with 0.5.4?). Myumi still needs to finish these, but once they're in-game, these more expressive expressions will give me more range to Britney's actions just like Zoey's new expressions did.
