"This is the main character of this story. Zach is a chronic underachiever who has been using his above-average intellect to coast through life with below-average grades. After a gap year taken to find his identity and expand his spiritual horizons that left his broke, he's now a freshman university student in a major he only chose because it's easy and can lead to a steady job right out of school. He spends his idle time searching for new and obscure phone games to play on a F2P lifestyle."

“Their full legal name is Zachary Jebediah Taylor (but they really hate being called the full thing or even Zachary and insist on being called Zach at all times).”

  • A 20-year-old male with average height (176cm/5’9”).
  • Has a somewhat lanky body type with an overall weight of 60kg/133lbs, which is below average for their height and age.
  • Has short-to-medium length straight black hair with a few stray bangs in places.
  • Their dark red eyes, while not unheard of, are distinct enough to be a defining feature.
  • Their slightly above-average face is self-described as “androgynous” (though it reality it's closer to “girly”).

Unusually, their college requires both their male and female students to wear a uniform to classes. Their are very few exceptions to this rule. The student manual's male dress code describes their Fall/Winter uniform as this outfit:

  • The main uniform is a sports blazer and nice dress slacks, both of which are predominantly a very dark gray that’s close to black (Hex #201910).
  • A medium gray jacket liner (Hex #5b5e66).
  • Both the uniform accent colors and tie must be red (Hex #eb3f3a).
  • Undershirts must be plain white.
  • A belt of some kind is required.
  • Shoes are to be shiny black, and socks are to be white.

This is a test sprite sketch (which was done by the very talented Avaloki on DeviantArt). The plans for the full sprite set are:

2 poses:

  • Facing almost directly out of the screen at a very slight angle (the posture you would see when standing up and talking to someone who is standing right in front of you).
  • Facing at an angle 30° to 45° from looking out of the screen (the posture you would see when in a standing circle of 3 people, all of who are talking to each other).

1 outfit that works for both main poses:

  • Male Student Uniform

13 expressions (26 total with 13 each for the 2 main poses).
