Was in a serious owlbear mood. I might come back and make tweaks if I find problems with it, but for now I need to call it done.

This lovely owl was never meant to fly, and this grumpy bear was meant to ensure that fact. And so the majestic barrel shaped cavedweller was created, by some mad muddwelling wiznerd. The last act they ever commited to.

My current headcanon is that this is what a wizard turned herself into. :) (Not as a polymorph, but more a were-owlbear.)

Owlbear! Well you don't see many of those around. Though with their heavy build and "bigness" they certainly fit well with your style. Amazing dynamic here too. Bet it's not easy to do an action shot with a creature as slow and lumbering. Looks great though.

Thanks, big and thick owlbears definitely work as a concept, and they're right up my alley. And you're right, sketching out the pose took as long as the rest of the process...
