The Spirit Realm lay barren and bleak under an ominous sky. The pack marched towards something not known to Rebecca – they never told her anything anyway, why would they start now? The alpha told her small group to go this way and so they did. It was ridiculous, that they had a pack alpha and other letters from the Greek alphabet. Their whole social structure was built on a misunderstanding of what was a wolf family, but she had learned to stop bringing it up, or suggesting that they wear t-shirts with their rank letter.

The three of them were moving towards a light, while behind them the green spread. She knew they were here for that purpose, but it was really her who was doing it. Was she finally useful? Did she even want to be useful, if she was not going to be appreciated? Did anyone even notice she was doing it? It felt good though, bringing life back to the barren Spirit Realm. But then she felt something. Was someone watching her just now? She could have sworn she heard something, sensed something – or someone? She hoped they would let her keep dreaming.

I wanted to do a new picture of my unreasonably thick werewolf girl, Rebecca, and this time I wanted to improve on my fur.

Spent quite a while on this one, it's gotten to the point where I stop seeing problems, so I'm going to call it done for now, and maybe come back later to fix things.

edit: made some minor tweaks

Unreasonably thick? I don't think anyone has achieved a level of thickness yet that could be called unreasonable! Now with that said, this is amazing! Love the little story and chuckled quite a bit at the alpha bit. The whole greek alphabet situation for wolves seem to be still firmly embedded in people's heads, so it's fun to see someone adress it for once. I love the color work here, with the background and even the wolves themselves being just black and grey but the tail she leaves all nice and green. Just nice from an artistic viewpoint, I believe. Speaking of that: yeah, the fur is great too here. With many of your works featuring furry critters, you do have a level of fur texture, but not enough "depth" in the fur itself to make it look fluffy, if that makes sense. Here howeever that's certainly not the case. Especially the floof around her head and neck looks great. Deep and fluffy as it should be. Her expression is rather neat too!

I dunno, I kinda like the term 'unreasonably thick'. :p The 'alpha male' thing is such a trope, but people just love it so much, there's no way it's ever going away. It seems like a werewolf who is a bit of a dork might point out. The idea was to have different kinds of fur; smooth on the body, and fluffy on the neck. I didn't really want it to be *too* fluffy either, because I like for her to look solid. It was definitely a useful learning experience, should help with future pictures that involve fur.

Thanks. :) I figured the image could use a bit of explanation as to what was going on.
