Now....she hated to admit, but Yuri found herself disoriented. The cave did not come to a dead end, it was not that bad, but she wasn't sure how much longer the cave went on or she could keep on going. She paused a bit and looked around, but there was not much to see, all blured by the darkness and the pain from the salt in her eyes. Shina was trying to hold back her breath, a patient girl, it was funny Yuri remembered Shina has never cried at her dentist. Something had to be done - quickly. Yuri searched the rock surface with the palms of her hands, searching for the lifesaving (but quite improbable) air pocket, and felt desperation grow deeper within her body.   

I need to save Shina, Yuri thought.
